Sumac

Sumac is a spice made from the berries of a plant that grows in the Mediterranean and Middle East. In 'Mimino', sumac adds fresh acidity and bright color to salads, marinades and meat dishes, enhancing their flavor. Sumac, with its sour taste, is an excellent addition to many Georgian dishes, such as fresh vegetable salad with walnut sauce.
